About the Author

C.S. Nelson was born in New Orleans and raised in Pomona, California.  As a young man, he made his living as a television and film actor in Los Angeles.  Nelson and his wife, actress Asta Hansen, moved to New York in 1981, where they founded and ran The Catskill Actors Theater for ten years.  He then returned to writing, having been a screenwriting major at college.  This time around, Nelson fell for poetry, earning his MFA at Sarah Lawrence College. He has worked with Dennis Nurkse, Tom Lux, Heather McHugh, Stephen Dobyns and other wonders.
